I imagine page boys and knaves ran around constantly, a message or a package in hand to give or take away. Bags of old were usually pouches, tied to the end of a stick or hung around the neck.

Iris Cross-Body, $64, The SAK, Endless

A cross body bag such as the Iris Cross-body from The SAK could’ve been helpful, as it features the convenience of a thick strap you can hang across your body. Simple modern technology such as zippers and an adjustable buckle could’ve assisted the daily work of the messenger of old as well.

This bag comes in other colors. In fact, in the official store website, there are 10 color combinations all in all but this multi-glitter and teak version is perfectly vintage-inspired. The pebbled leather’s rich wooden color is beautiful and can be worn with bohemian-styled clothing such as maxi skirts and eyelet dresses. And its multi-glitter facade makes this vintage-inspired bag a great smart casual purse even for work.

Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie Carry Tom Ford “Carine”

What an interesting coincidence that Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie were snapped carrying Tom Ford flap bags of late.

The sultry actress and mother of seven was seen exiting Ridley Scott’s office in London in an all gray ensemble with knee length leather boots and a nondescript flap satchel by Tom Ford.

Across the pond, Jennifer Aniston of all ladies, was showing penchant to the same “Carine” handbag. Both style stars showcased the vintage-looking handbag in their own personal styles which is eerily looking similar with the same practicality and color palette.

This bag which appears to come in several skins and shapes (Angelina’s looks less structured than Jen’s) is a collaboration between Tom Ford and former French Vogue editrix Carine Roitfeld. And normally, a collab that high-profile, is punctuated with a hefty 4-figure price tag. The boxy one above retails at $2427 at Colette Paris.

If you find the price too astounding, then settling for this Z Spoke by Zac Posen number is not a bad thing.

Dainty Vintage and Vintage-Inspired Bags from Moschino!

Dainty is the theme of our post today, and we get it from two bags from the chic Italian brand Moschino. One is vintage while the other is deliciously vintage-inspired.

Silk Shoulder Bag, $188, Moschino Vintage, Farfetch

We came across this silk shoulder bag on Farfetch, a  Moschino Vintage bag in dusty pink. It features a sheer black knitted overlay and black crochet details on the front. Simple black trim goes all the way to the back. The top snap fastening is made out of shiny black beads. This shoulder bag also features a crochet-embellished strap.

 

Olivia Spectator, $2,235, Moschino

This next bag, also known as the Olivia Spectator, has features similar to that of the previous bag. Like it, this ivory leather shoulder bag has contrast trim that translates into a spectator style. The brand’s iconic heart acts as a clasp for the structured bag. You can use the Olivia Spectator as a tote or a shoulder bag. This is a limited edition bag available on Moschino.
